Sustainability at the heart of our strategy
AMETEK is making continuous progress on our sustainability journey, including progress toward our greenhouse gas emission reduction targets. Furthermore, we are committed to developing innovative products and solutions to help reduce carbon emissions, increase the use and adoption of renewable energy, and address the impacts of climate change. More of these initiatives — as well as our holistic sustainability strategy — will be available in AMETEK’s forthcoming 2023 Sustainability Report.
Investing in representation and diversity
Our global workforce is comprised of world-class talent that works tirelessly to embody our shared purpose and mission in all their interactions with our customers, vendors and local communities. It is therefore essential that all employees know that they are valued, that their voices are heard, and that opportunities for growth and development are available to them. The AMETEK Inclusion Council and its resource groups help nurture relationships, promote conversation, and increase representation across the company. This Council is led by diverse colleagues across all parts of AMETEK.

Leading at all levels
Beyond our Inclusion Council, we are also committed to diversity among our senior management teams, including our Board of Directors. We have been recognized by numerous organizations, such as 50/50 Women on Boards, for the diversity of our Board. To bolster our mission to place sustainability front-and-center in our strategy, AMETEK welcomed two new members with sustainability experience to our Board of Directors in 2022. Dean Seavers is a proven operating executive with extensive board experience and a background in driving growth, innovation and sustainability initiatives; Suzanne Stefany is an advisor to leading global multi-industry companies, with strong expertise in finance and governance and a focus on sustainability initiatives.
To cultivate innovations and drive further sustainable growth, we created the Elizabeth R. Varet Sustainability Award. Ms. Varet, who served on AMETEK’s Board of Directors for 34 years, was a key influence in our efforts in social responsibility, corporate philanthropy, stewardship and governance. This award highlights the company’s best environmental sustainability projects and promotes healthy competition in improving sustainability.
Our view of our future is clear: a path of growth that nurtures innovation, rewards success, values people and diversity, and acknowledges our responsibility to the global communities of which we are a part. This has set AMETEK on a sustainable path that will ensure we continue to flourish as a successful global technology solutions provider fit for the challenges ahead.
