Meet Margherita, European Field Marketing Specialist
Margherita is a Field Marketing Specialist based out of the AMETEK Italy headquarters in Milan. She supports AMETEK’s European marketing efforts at the business and corporate level. Learn more about her AMETEK journey.
How did your AMETEK career begin?
I started at AMETEK as a Marketing and Communications intern after graduating from university in 2022. After my internship concluded, I was brought on full-time as a Field Marketing Specialist.
It was very interesting starting out at AMETEK because my background originally was in B2C marketing, whereas AMETEK engages in B2B marketing. This pivot gave me the opportunity to learn about a different side of marketing and has given me a better understanding of the field overall.
What are some of your day-to-day responsibilities?
As a part of our Regional Corporate Marketing team in Europe, my role is to support the AMETEK businesses in my region and advocate AMETEK’s culture within my local community of colleagues and customers. I work in close contact with the sales department to enhance business opportunities and visibility through content creation, support at exhibitions and events, and promote our innovations – all while collaborating with our businesses’ marketing teams to ensure continuity and consistency.

What is it like being a marketer at AMETEK?
No two days are the same! We have so many businesses and brands that each have their own unique products and various applications. I’ve been with AMETEK for two years now and every day I learn something new.
What projects have you been involved in?
AMETEK Italy opened a new Customer Solutions Center (CSC) in Milan in early 2025. I had the privilege of being a part of the planning team for this new facility and managing the grand opening event from a marketing perspective. My responsibilities included developing the graphics now displayed on the CSC walls, promoting the opening event, coordinating with the various businesses represented in the CSC, and ensuring the grand opening ran smoothly.

I enjoy AMETEK’s global view and international perspective. My position involves working with colleagues all over Europe and in different regions of the world. Engaging with different backgrounds and cultures has enriched both my professional and personal life.
What support have you received from your colleagues in your professional growth?
At AMETEK, colleagues are always ready to assist new team members and collaborate to achieve the best results, fostering a supportive environment. When I started as an intern, AMETEK encouraged me from the outset to make my own decisions, promoting independence while providing continuous support whenever needed. This approach has helped me develop my skills and confidently take on responsibilities.
