Supporting communities around the globe through the AMETEK Foundation

Established in 1960, the AMETEK Foundation is the company’s charitable giving arm. It empowers colleagues to make a positive impact in their local communities and to collaboratively work together to make the world a better place.

A tradition of giving
AMETEK has historically held a tradition of philanthropic giving and support long before the concept of being socially responsible became widely adopted. A cornerstone of our business, the AMETEK Foundation puts into practice our core values of Ethics and Integrity; Respect for the Individual; Diversity and Inclusion; Teamwork; and Social Responsibility – making a difference worldwide, every day.

Through contributions from the AMETEK Foundation and through our colleagues’ worldwide volunteer efforts, we improve the communities in which we work and live and drive a greater purpose for our company. In particular, the Foundation strengthens efforts in health and welfare; civic and social service programs; arts and culture; and education, most specifically with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) for underserved students.

Through contributions from the AMETEK Foundation and through our colleagues’ worldwide volunteer efforts, we improve the communities in which we work and live and drive a greater purpose for our company.

Expanding our scope and reach
In recent years, the scope and reach of the AMETEK Foundation worldwide has mirrored AMETEK’s worldwide expansion. Whether supporting healthcare initiatives in India, and more recently helping victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, we know that it is increasingly likely that we are supporting communities from which many colleagues live or originate from.

Participation for all
Participation is open to every one of our businesses. We encourage colleagues to utilize the benefits of the AMETEK Foundation to strengthen their own charitable donations of time, talent, and financial contributions. To amplify this hard work, the Foundation provides employees with donation checks that they can then present to their charitable organizations. It is our intention that contributions help our colleagues to become more prominent contributors and stronger leaders in their communities.

As we continue our journey to being a values-led, sustainable company, the AMETEK Foundation will remain our compass on the journey – our ‘true north’ in showing the benefits that a responsible global business can bring to people and communities worldwide.
