AEM is one of AMETEK MRO Europe's three brands Three brands form the backbone of AMETEK MRO's European operations, contributing to our global reputation for excellence in aircraft MRO services:
- AEM – Operating from three sites in the UK, AEM specializes in aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear, and safety equipment. With over 60 years of expertise, they've set the standards for quality and precision in aircraft maintenance.

- Muirhead Avionics – A key supplier to operators worldwide, Muirhead Avionics specializes in navigation, communication, flight data recorders, cockpit voice recorders, instrumentation, and test equipment. Their over 70-year legacy of innovation has shaped the future of flight.

Meet the Team
Meet Alex, Team Leader for the Electrical Cell at AMETEK MRO AEM in the United Kingdom. Alex is responsible for the maintenance of aviation power generation products within AEM’s state-of-the-art electrical workshop.
“It has been exciting to move into the aviation sector and great to learn new skills,” he says. “I have also enjoyed working to develop the team to make us even more successful as we go into the future.”
The products and services AEM offers are essential to customers for the safe and timely operation of aircrafts, and therefore, delivering robust and on-time products is critical.
“I am proud of what we have achieved as a team,” he says. “In improving our turnaround times to our customers, we have ensured power generation products have an exceptional delivery service, ensuring we can all fly safely and on time.”
