AMETEK Named Champion of Board Diversity by The Forum of Executive Women

Wednesday, October 21, 2020

AMETEK was today named a Champion of Board Diversity by The Forum of Executive Women for the sixth consecutive year, an honor that reinforces our commitment to fostering and promoting diverse perspectives across the company, including at our Board of Directors and management levels.

“As a company with thousands of employees spread across a global network, we must ensure those leading and influencing our future are representative of all perspectives,” said David A. Zapico, AMETEK Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We believe a diverse workforce and inclusive working environment are critical to our growth and success.”

Beyond our Board diversity, AMETEK has programs to support underrepresented groups in various functions throughout the organization. For example, the Women’s Business Council strives to build a strong talent pipeline of diverse women leaders through numerous initiatives, such as mentorship, best practice sharing, and professional development opportunities.

Based on data from their Women in Leadership 2020 report, The Forum of Executive Women selected 17 Philadelphia-area companies as their Champions of Board Diversity for having 30% or more women on their boards. AMETEK has received this honored distinction consecutively since 2015.

Founded in 1977, The Forum of Executive Women is a membership organization of more than 500 women of significant influence across the Greater Philadelphia region. Its members are executive women working together to increase the number of women in leadership roles, expand their impact and influence, and position them to drive positive change in the region.
