PITTSBURGH, PA –Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), the Mexican state-owned petroleum and natural gas company, has acquired forty-five of the latest Model 5100 HD Series gas analyzers from AMETEK Process Instruments to monitor moisture levels in natural gas at monitoring stations throughout Mexico. According to Jorge Ovidio Martinez of COIMSUR, S.A. de C.V., AMETEK’s process instruments distributor in Mexico, “the Model 5100 HD analyzer was selected because of its exceptional performance, reliability and competitive pricing.”
Model 5100 Series gas analyzers are based on tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS). The analyzers provide a non-contact, rapid response approach to measuring moisture in natural gas. Among the instrument’s benefits are integrated sample conditioning and Ethernet-based diagnostics that allow for economic installation and ease of operation.
