Full-time, Internships and Co-Ops
To qualify for a full-time job opportunity as a student or recent graduate, you must:
- Be in your final year of undergraduate or graduate study and scheduled to graduate, or
- Have graduated within the past two years
Please note: If you have already graduated, you must have less than two years of regular full-time work after graduation to be considered a university candidate. If you have more than two years of employment experience since you received your degree, please see Opportunities for Experienced Professionals
In addition, we look for students who have:
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- A solid Grade Point Average (3.0 or better)
- Had a successful internship or work experience in their field of study
We conduct most of our recruiting for undergraduate and graduate students through campus events and campus career services at targeted universities. To find out when we’ll be near you, view the list of schools we’re visiting by clicking here, and contacting the university’s career services.
Recruitment for university students largely takes place from September through December for full-time positions and January through March for internship positions.
Our campus recruiting process:
- Conduct on-campus interviews
- The Campus Recruiting Team will evaluate candidates. This team is comprised of a number of AMETEK executives who are committed to hiring and developing talented individuals
- Candidates are notified of their status
- Qualified candidates' resumes will be posted on AMETEK's database for review by our lines of businesses that have hiring needs
- Individual business units will contact candidates to schedule on-site interviews
- Note: It is possible to be called for an interview for more than one business unit within AMETEK
- Conduct interviews at an AMETEK site
- Candidates will be notified of their disposition by the business units
